NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
The Town of Sharon will receive sealed bids until 1:00 P.M., May 8, 2025 at the office of the Town Engineer, R.H. Batterman & Co., Inc., 1040 N. Wisconsin Street, Elkhorn, Wisconsin 53121, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud for labor, material, tools and equipment necessary for the following project:

Actual work shall be commenced within ten (10) days after written Notice to Proceed has been issued.

In accordance with Wis. Stat. §66.0901(2), all bidders shall be required to submit a “Bidder’s Proof of Competency” questionnaire, said form is included in the contract document. The questionnaire shall be kept on file and be valid for the calendar year, subject to the Contractor’s status throughout the year. Additional blank forms of this questionnaire can be obtained from the Consulting Engineer’s office. Prior filing of such form with the Town of Sharon or Consulting Engineer for the current calendar year shall satisfy this requirement.
No bid can be received or considered unless accompanied by a Bid Bond or a Certified Check equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid, payable to the Town of Sharon, as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and 100% Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds within ten (10) days from the date the lowest responsible bidder’s bid is accepted. In the event the bidder fails to file such contract and bond within the time set by the Town, the check or bond shall be forfeited to the Town as liquidated damages.
The Town of Sharon reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive or not to waive any informality in the bidding. The letting of the contract described herein is subject to provisions of Sections 66.0901 of the Wisconsin Statutes.
After bids are opened, no bid can be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days thereafter.
